Tutorial - Class 1, just 10 minutes to your first mosaic.

Hi, Every one, this is your first class.

It is a step by step tutorial for all new users of easy mosaic.
Following this tutorial, 95% of you can create a mosaic with your own photos.

If any error happens and you failed to create your mosaic, 
move on next class- “debug your mosaic project.”
Now. Let’s start.
Step 1: Run Easy Mosaic.

Step 2: Click on ‘New’ button to start a new mosaic project

Step 3: Confirm to start, This will clear current existing project and start a new one.

Step 4: Select ‘Beginner’ mode, this is very easy to use, very few controls.

Step 5: Load your main image.
Main image is the one that your whole mosaic looks like.

Step 6: Select your main image and click ‘open’ to load it into Easy Mosaic.

Step 7: Now you main image is loaded into easy mosaic,
Let’s goto next step, load your cell photos.
!! You can not create a mosaic without loading a main image.

Step 8: This is the cell image manager.
By click ‘Add files’, You can open a image browser and pick photos you wish to use.
By click ‘Add folder’, You can load all supported photos under a folder (include subfolders if you want to do so).
Now, click ‘Add files’ and pick your photos.

Step 9: This is photo browser. use your mouse to select photos.
You can choose single file or multiply files.
Then click on open to load your photo into Easy Mosaic.

Step 10: Cell photos loaded.
!! You must load some cell photos to create a mosaic project.
I suggest you to load more than 100 photos into the cell manager to get good quality.
Try collect more photos.
Now goto next step.

Step 11:This page allows you to change the whole mosaic size.
Let use default size, A2 paper. It should provide good quality for many beginner level project, and this size is well supported by most print shops.

Ok, dont change the setting, and goto next step now.

 Step 12: This step set the cell size.
I will explain these values in deeper classes.

Let’s keep default setting and goto next step.

Step 13: Additional options.
Only one thing you need to know now:
Higher enhance value would provide you better quality of the whole mosaic, 
But the enhance might reduce quality of the small cells.
 
Now, choose a higher enhance, or keep default.  then goto next step.

Step 14: Check Project detail, and start render.
Just click on ‘Create Photo Mosaic’ button to start. leave everything to computer.

Step 15: Watch the render monitor, or drink something.
Wait for a few minutes, basically, a A2 size mosaic should be done within 10 minutes.
Once Everything is done, you will see a ‘Done’ dialog, and then you can close the render monitor.

Yes, It is done.
If you see this message, everything is ok now.

Here is your firt mosaic project. You can look at the overview window, or check each cells in the main workspace window.

You can find the mosaic project folder under ‘My document’
There are some files there,
The ‘Output.bmp’ is the orginal photo mosaic file, It saved as 32 bit bmp format.

The bmp format file is supported by all image process softwares and printers. You can copy it and take this file to a printer shop, ask them to print a nice mosaic poster for you.
